Water- en Energiebedrijf Bonaire N.V. (WEB) was founded in 1963 and is owned by the Public Entity Bonaire. As an "exclusive" multi-utility company, WEB is responsible for the sustainable, reliable and affordable supply of drinking water and electricity to more than 20,400 households, companies and organizations on Bonaire.
The energy and water supply on Bonaire contributes to the sustainable development of the island. The population is increasing, tourism is developing, Bonaire is a growth market. A lot will have to be invested in the coming years. Only then can the reliability, affordability and quality of the energy and water supply be brought to a level that suits the rapidly developing Bonaire.
Since March 2013, the service has been expanded with the collection and purification of waste water, and the management of the Waste Water Treatment (WWTP) and the supply of irrigation water.
