Consultancy for enhancing the water quality monitoring capacity for the Laboratory and developing and implementing the accreditation of the Laboratory according to ISO 17025
The Surinaamsche Waterleiding Maatschappij (SWM) is the nationally operating water supply company of Suriname and provides more than 500,000 people with drinking water on a daily basis in both the entire coastal plain and parts of the interior. The vision of SWM is to be a leading water company in the Caribbean region, focused on excellent service.
In 2024, SWM asked VEI for support in achieving ISO 17025 accreditation for the SWM laboratory by conducting a gap assessment, development of an action plan and support the implementation of the action plan with targeted training and coaching to establish a quality management system.
In 2024, SWM and VEI signed a new partnership agreement for continued support in the period 2024-2029. The activities are focused on support in improved asset management including leakage control and on continuous learning and development of staff.
